Sierra-Lassen-Plumas Interoperability Network (SLPnet)
An effort to build a wireless backbone between multiple rural counties within North Eastern California – Sierra, Lassen, and Plumas. The intention of the network is to build a common backbone for multiple critical users – health clinics & hospitals, emergency services, and amateur radio users. This user community is critical in wildfires and related disaster response efforts. Most of these users have established mutual aid agreements with each other and have similar operating models.
